Welcome new Specialist: Carol Koch, EdD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL
Carol Koch is currently Professor and Graduate Program Director at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She has been a practicing speech language pathologist for 33 years. Much of her clinical work has been in early intervention, with a focus on children with autism spectrum disorder, children with severe speech sound disorders, including childhood apraxia of speech, children who demonstrate developmental delays secondary to the impact of adverse childhood events, and pediatric feeding. Her research and teaching interests have also encompassed early phonological development, speech sound disorders, CAS, family and sibling experiences with children who have ASD, and trauma-informed care. Recently, Dr. Koch has published a textbook, Clinical Management of Speech Sound Disorders: A Case-Based Approach.
