Policy for Refunds

Continuing Education (CE) offerings offered exclusively by the ABCLLD will charge an individual course fee. If a continuing education program is canceled by the ABCLLD before a paid participant has attended the future CE program, the participant who has paid for the program will receive a full refund. If a participant cancels his or her registration for a live CE event, the request must be made in writing to ChildLanguageSpecialist@gmail.com.

Cancellation requests received up to three weeks before the event will be refunded, less a $50 processing fee. Cancellation requests made within three weeks of the event will not receive a refund. All cancellations and refunds will be processed in the same manner as the original payment. Payments made by check will be refunded as a check and may take up to 30 days to process.

Policy for Resolving Complaints/Resolution of Conflicts Policy

Participants wishing to register a complaint due to dissatisfaction with continuing education programs or services provided by the American Board of Child Language and Language Disorders, should contact the administrative office at this email ChildLanguageSpecialist@gmail.com or by completing the Contact Us form provided at our website. The Continuing Education administrator will respond in writing to complaints within 30 days of receipt. Determinations regarding appropriateness of refunds based on complaints will be made by the Continuing Education administrator in consultation with the Board Chair and Continuing Education Co-Coordinators.

Correspondence should indicate the nature of the complaint, the continuing education program about which the complaint is based, the date and time of the issue giving rise to the complaint, and any other pertinent information about the complaint.

The ABCLLD requires its presenters to refrain from use of derogatory or disparaging language and other forms of expression that insults persons on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, or veteran status.
