Sharynne McLeod, PhD, CPSP, BCS-CL

Sharynne McLeod, PhD, is a speech-language pathologist and professor of speech and language acquisition at Charles Sturt University, Australia. She received Honors of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Life Member of Speech Pathology Australia. She is a Board Certified Specialist by the American Board of Child Language and Language Disorders, and Chair of the Child Speech Committee of the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP). She served as editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Vice President of the International Clinical Linguistics and Phonetics Association. She has co-authored 11 books and 230+ peer reviewed journal articles and chapters focusing on children’s speech acquisition, speech sound disorders, and multilingualism. In 2019, she presented a speech about communication rights at the United Nations. She has been an invited speaker at American Speech-Language-Hearing Association conventions and at conferences and universities in Austria, Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Viet Nam, UK, US, and Zambia.
