Pamela C. Payne, MS, CCC-SLP (Retired), BCS-CL (Retired), received the 2005 Distinguished Clinical Service Award from the New Jersey Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Additionally, Ms. Payne was recognized in 1995 by NJSHA for "exemplary commitment to the delivery of speech-language services within a school setting." Ms. Payne is the creator of JEEPP (Just Enough English for Phrases to Paragraphs), a curriculum to teach both spoken English grammar and literacy (printed grammar) to individuals diagnosed as English Language Learners (English as a second language) and language disordered/delayed (across diagnoses). A single-page template of linguistic structures is central to helping individuals progress from single words (if necessary) to multi-paragraph stories/events within meaningful texts. The ultimate goal is to foster understanding and usage of spoken and printed paragraphs. Ms. Payne has presented seminars to professionals and parents nationwide since 1990. And she was a speech-language pathologist in a specialized public school and had a private practice in New Jersey for 35 years. Currently, Ms. Payne resides in Naples, Florida.
