Monica L. Ferguson, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL

Ferguson is Faculty Research Associate Emeritus at the University of Utah, College of Education, and Fellow of ASHA. She is also Executive Director of Monica L. Ferguson & Associates LLC, providing language-literacy services to families, children, and young adults. Ferguson is Co-Founder and former Co-Director of the Stegner Young Scholars’ Writing Institute in the College of Education and Salt Lake City School District. Ferguson has served as expert consultant and presented internationally and nationally on language, literacy, and increasing academic achievement for multi-level learners in inclusive classrooms. She has successfully developed/implemented differentiated instructional literacy programs. She has also served as a consultant and project trainer for SLPs and educators on effective language-literacy teaching practices for several global school improvement projects sponsored by USAID and UNICEF in Tanzania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Nicaragua. Ferguson is the author of an international instructional program designed to prepare educators to teach language-literacy.
