Dr. Briggs has owned a private practice since 1988. We have historically focused on the birth to five population, with a particular emphasis on including families at all levels of service delivery and decision making. As a leader in early intervention (specialty-interdisciplinary team building), she has served on ASHA committees and boards and has been a regular presenter, including on federally funded training grants. She served on the faculty at California State University Los Angeles (part-time) with an ethnically diverse student population. Dr. Briggs also taught at Seton Hall University (full-time) for five years, helping to develop their masters and interdisciplinary doctoral programs. Her practice is now in partnership with a group of neuropsychologists where she is a guest lecturer in their doctoral training program. Dr. Briggs has become a leader in the Los Angeles community and am now consulting with different organizations and schools to help young adults with communication needs.
