Linda Jean Lombardino, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL

Dr. Linda J. Lombardino is a professor of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Florida. Dr. Lombardino received her PhD from The Ohio State University in 1978. She was employed at the University of Florida in the Department of Communication Sciences from 1978 to 2009 where she taught spoken language and written disorders to graduate students, conducted research on dyslexia, and directed the reading disabilities diagnostic clinic at the University of Florida’s Speech and Hearing Clinic. In 2009, she joined the College of Education at the University of Florida. Dr. Lombardino has a particular interest in the early identification of children who are at-risk for reading disabilities, the differential diagnosis and treatment of dyslexia, characteristics of dyslexia in college students, and cognitive factors that influence the way people who have dyslexia process information. She has published numerous papers on the topic of dyslexia. She co-authored the Assessment of Literacy and Language (ALL), a test designed to identify young children at risk for reading disabilities.
