Dr. Coufal is Professor Emerita at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and at Wichita State University. Previous to her 30 years in higher education, Dr. Coufal spent 17 years in clinical practice, working with young children, infants, and toddlers in a variety of settings. Throughout her education and professional practice, she specialized in working with children and caregivers and professional interdisciplinary teams of educators in the processes of collaborative assessment and intervention. Dr. Coufal served as one of the original members of the ABCLLD. She has served as Professor, Program Director, and Department Chair in academe.
