Iván Campos, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL

Iván Campos, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, is a Program Specialist at the California Association of Health and Education Linked Professions (CAHELP), a consortium of 40 member LEAs dedicated to enhancing child outcomes through behavioral health programs, consultation, special education support, and professional development. He provides support through consultations, compliance monitoring, professional development, IEP facilitation, and parent/guardian assistance, focusing on culturally responsive practices that address the whole child’s needs. His work aims to reduce health disparities and improve access to special education services.

Previously, Iván was a bilingual speech-language pathologist at Riverside Unified School District, where he co-developed and implemented a district-wide team focused on culturally responsive assessments, significantly reducing disproportionality among English learners with speech or language impairments.

Nationally, he chaired the ASHA Multicultural Issues Board in 2021, received the 2023 ASHF Rolland J. Van Hattum Award, and was named the 2024 Distinguished Alumni by Loma Linda University’s Communication Sciences & Disorders Department. He has also co-authored several peer-reviewed publications.
