Henriette W. Langdon, EdD, H-CCC-SLP, BCS-CL

Dr. Henriette Langdon received her doctorate at Boston University in Special Education and Psycholinguistics. Her dissertation was on how to determine a language disorder in a bilingual population and was completed in 1977. Dr. Langdon has had a long career as a bilingual speech-language pathologist with experiences as a clinician, supervisor, and university professor. She is Emerita Professor from the Communicative Disorders and Sciences Disorders at San Jose State University in San Jose, CA. where she taught for 20 years full time in addition to 15 years part-time prior to her appointment for a permanent position. Her expertise is in language disorders and bilingualism including how to work effectively with an interpreter when the student or client is fluent in a different language than the SLP. She has written and lectured on those topics locally and abroad. Currently, she co-owns a private practice, Sunflower Therapies, located in Southern California with her daughter a Marriage and Family Therapist and has a doctorate in Psychology. Dr. Langdon is fluent in Spanish, Polish, French and English, and has offers services clinical services in all four languages, with Spanish and English being the most frequent languages.
