Eva Ruohonen, MA, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist committed to providing equitable, evidence-based services for multilingual learners. She founded the speech-language therapy program at an international school in Switzerland, which has grown into a collaborative team of speech-language pathologists serving a diverse student population. Eva developed policies and procedures tailored to multilingual learners and has also established a universal early language screening program for children ages 3 to 5 to support early identification and intervention. Her interdisciplinary approach includes close collaboration with a variety of professionals to provide coordinated, student-centered support. Eva also has delivered professional development on various topics, including classroom language facilitation, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and teacher vocal health. Guided by compassion and a commitment to inclusion, she advocates for language-rich learning environments where every student has the opportunity to communicate effectively, participate fully, and thrive.
