Diane Collins, MA, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL
Diane has been an SLP for the past 49 years, working with those from ages 18 months to 22 years. In 2016, she retired from the public schools. She worked in Head Start/State Preschools and elementary schools, but her primary employment was at the secondary level (including alternative educational settings), where she developed collaborative language and pragmatics programs. Her areas of emphasis were autism and fluency, co-presenting on both topics. Diane serves on SLP program advisory boards for Calif. State University, Fullerton (CSUF) and Cal Baptist University, Riverside. Since 2017, she has been a clinical supervisor at CSUF, teaching and supervising graduate students in the Child Clinic. Mentoring is one of her passions, and she has supervised numerous SLP interns, Clinical Fellows and SLPAs throughout her career. Diane is a former President of the Calif. Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and she has previously served on both the Legislative and Speech-Language Pathology Councils for ASHA. She has chaired/been a member of many speech/language-related committees and councils at the district, SELPA, state and national levels. She was the recipient of Fellow and Honors awards from CSHA, and the 2023 Fellow award from ASHA.
