Barbara J. Moore, EdD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL

Dr. Barbara J. Moore is the Program Director for the Master of Sciences in Speech-Language Pathology and the Director of the Minor in Speech-Language and Hearing Professions in the USC Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. She has been a speech-language pathologist for more than 30 years and has extensive administrative experience as a director of special education in various public school districts, designing and expanding services to children with disabilities. An ASHA Board Certified Specialist in Child Language (BCS-CL) and ASHA Fellow, she has served in several leadership roles in professional associations, including serving on the ASHA Board of Directors as the Vice President of Planning (2010 to 2013). Dr. Moore was also the President of the California Speech-Language and Hearing Association (CSHA) and is an advocate for the professions as well as for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. She is a frequently requested speaker on issues of service delivery in schools, legislative issues and designing compliant, defensible and evidence-based programs for children and adults.
