Amanda Wittman, MA, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL

Amanda received her MA in Speech-Language Pathology from GWU, with a specialized certification in Auditory Learning after receiving her BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders from IU-Bloomington. She currently holds certifications through the Virginia Early Intervention Program and has participated in specialized trainings, such as: DIR Floortime, PROMPT, Social Thinking, Language Acquisition through Motor Planning, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, DTTC, and Auditory-Verbal Therapy, as well as several feeding therapy approaches and literacy programs. Amanda is an active member of both ASHA’s PAC and ASHA’s SIG 9. Amanda has experience working with a variety of infant and pediatric populations, and her passion is parent coaching. Additionally, she was an Adjunct Professor at GWU. Amanda’s research interests include infant and pediatric hearing loss and facilitating early phonological awareness and literacy skills. She has been a podium speaker at several recent ASHA National Conventions sharing research findings in the areas of literacy, vocabulary acquisition, and pediatric cochlear implantation. In her free time, Amanda enjoys hiking with her husband and their two young children.
