Liesl has a passion for working with children with social learning challenges and their caregivers. She is trained extensively with both the ICDL and Profectum organizations in DIR/Floortime techniques. She builds strong relationships with children and focuses on helping them grow in their self-esteem and confidence as well as their speech and language capacities. She also incorporates SCERTS, Social Thinking, PROMPT, Hanen and the Kaufman Apraxia approaches.
Liesl has presented trainings to many schools, parent groups, and speech pathologists and will be presenting at this year’s ASHA Convention and hopes meet other specialists there! More information about Liesl’s work can be found at www.speechtherapydc.com.
