Lisa is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Loyola College in Maryland. She has worked in the field for 30+ years in a variety of settings, including public and private schools, multi-disciplinary clinics, in private practice, and as a clinical supervisor of graduate clinicians at Loyola University of Maryland. She is the owner of Speak Your Mind, LLC - Speech, Language, Literacy, and Learning, located in Wilmington, NC. She provides direct speech-language therapy addressing Developmental Language Disorder, early reading/phonological awareness, reading comprehension, written language, academic success, social skills, and communication challenges secondary to Down Syndrome, ASD, and other developmental disorders. She collaborates with classroom teachers to meet the needs of children with language/literacy challenges in elementary through high school. She works with educators, administrators, and families to ensure meaningful access to curriculum, implement strategies and accommodations, and maximize student learning.
