Dr. Johnson is an accomplished speech-language pathologist, higher education faculty member, researcher, course developer, and special education advocate with more than 15 years of experience across educational, clinical, and community-based settings. Her work includes providing speech-language services in K–12 schools, teaching and mentoring graduate students in communication sciences and disorders, developing graduate-level courses and instructional materials, and preparing future speech-language pathologists. Her clinical and scholarly interests include child language and speech sound disorders, culturally responsive assessment and intervention, clinical education, professional leadership, and student success. Dr. Johnson is also the owner of Therapy Extenders, a private practice providing speech-language and educational support services to K–12 settings. She is passionate about special education advocacy, equitable access to high-quality services, and transition planning that prepares students for success beyond the K–12 setting.
